June 2020 Comics Solicitations - UPDATED

By Zack Quaintance — New comics releases started to trickle out again in May 2020, but the industry (and the country) was far from at full strength. With shelter-in-place orders still in effect for many of the largest population centers in the country, even with new comics coming out it was difficult for many readers to get access to them. This is all slowly changing, and the new comics release schedule for June 2020 is reflective of that.

A DARK INTERLUDE, Vault's FEARSCAPE sequel - HYPE

By Zack Quaintance — It’s been a rough year, folks, both within comics and in the real world writ large (usually an unpleasant place to think about). There's just something about the creators and projects for the publisher that seem to push the boundaries of genre and comics storytelling. They're beautiful and lovingly crafted stories that are endlessly readable and enjoyable, that call you back to experience again to discover new little elements that you might have missed the first time, wonderfully rewarding reading a series again. And then there's Black Stars Above #4. I know I'm going to find more on a reread, but just a first experience of this issue has been revelatory. This comic is transcendent.
