PREVIEW: You have to see these pages from AGENT OF W.O.R.L.D.E. #1
By Zack Quaintance — If you haven’t yet heard of artist Filya Bratukhin, that is about to change. Bratukhin’s new book with writer Deniz Camp, Agent of W.O.R.L.D.E. #1 is due out June 22 from Scout Comics, and as you can see by the pages below (all of which are colored by the great Jason Wordie and lettered by the also-great Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou), Bratukhin’s work is striking, possessing a level of detail rarely seen in monthly comics, as well as a sort of fearlessness to take risks with the lines.
Combine that with a concept and script from Camp — the very thoughtful, literary writer responsible for the early Vault Comics sleeper Maxwell’s Demons — and there’s great cause to be excited for this book. If that all isn’t enough to win you over, consider the first three exclamatory clauses from the books preview: “Horny robots! Super-evolved orangutan bosses! Joyriders from the 26th Century!” I’m telling you, friends, this is one to have on your radar. Check out full preview info for the book below, as well as six fully-lettered preview pages following the jump…enjoy!
