EXCLUSIVE: An N$F Comic interview...from the future

Imagine a world where the New Deal never got signed. And one where the Banks were the ones who lifted America out of the Great Depression. With the country at its most vulnerable, they were able to rewrite the morals of society.

The new comic N$F shows this new world in the year 2040 where journalist Sara De Santa has been a thorn in the side of the banks for years. Her authentic and bold reporting has shown the world some of the evil the banks possess. This story follows Sara and a cast of other characters as the banks are hacked for trillions of dollars.

N$F is written by Toren Chenault and Candace Rugg, with art by Alec Smith, letters by Rob Jones, and graphic/logo design by Jenny Odio. N$F will be an ongoing 22-page comic, and it launches November 16 on Kickstarter. Right now, however, you can check out a FREE prequel comic at https://www.nsfcomic.com/. Enjoy.

Oh, but that’s not all…we also have an EXCLUSIVE interview with some of the books characters, coming to us from the future, along with some preview pages from the book below…

An N$F Comic Interview…from the future

The following is an interview transcript on The Chad Rolf Show on March 23rd, 2035. The interview features Federal Bank Number Five Manager John Henny and Detroit journalist Sara De Santa.

CHAD ROLF: Welcome back, I’m Chad Rolf. Money is in the news today as the Federal Banks unveil their newest piece of technology to the world. It’s called T.R.U.S.T. and there isn’t much on the topic aside from the press release and frankly people are confused about what it means for them and their money. Joining me now is Fed Five Manager, John Henny. How’s it going, John.

JOHN HENRY: I’m doing fine, Chad thanks for asking.

CHAD: Now John, what exactly is T.R.U.S.T. I did a lot of reading and I’m having a hard time understanding it all. What does it even stand for?

JOHN: What does Alexa stand for?

CHAD: Excuse me?

JOHN: Exactly. T.R.U.S.T. is more than a name and more about what we intend to do for you, our customers. Credit scores were the traditional way in which we used to assess people’s risk in lending. And everyone knows that there were three bureaus who housed those scores. Not anymore. Fed One, our HQ in New York recently bought out those three bureaus.

CHAD: So what does that mean, exactly? You now have all the power in determining risk for loans, credit cards, and all that? Does that seem practical?

JOHN: It’s more than practical.

CHAD: Do you have logistical strength to handle something like that? Are you worried about how your competitors will respond?

JOHN: You’re not much of a host, huh Chad? Everyone knows we have the strongest backbone of any company in the history of this country. Over 6,000 branches are owned by Fed Five alone. Hundreds of thousands by the other Federal Banks. Our only competition nowadays are those goofy robo-advisers and FinTech companies.

CHAD: You don’t consider them to be serious threats? There seems to be a huge democratization of things like investing in today’s world. How does that not pose a threat to T.R.U.S.T.?

JOHN: Chad, Fed Five is completely dedicated to a diverse and inclusive world.

CHAD: Yes, but —

JOHN: Don’t interrupt. That’s just rude. We have done extensive work in the community over the last half decade. 100 million invested in the Black Community. 300 million in the LGBTQ community. And we have helped establish small business grants in more than thirty states. T.R.U.S.T. is us using our resources to tie it all together. We’ve also done extensive work with our cloud technologies.

JOHN: Again, there isn’t a single company who is doing the work we’re doing. Competition isn’t something that is new to us. We will do whatever we need to do to win.

CHAD: Is that right?

JOHN: I didn’t stutter, Chad. You see, good investors understand that true, valuable investing is like boxing. You need a solid pair of gloves, both for training and fighting. You need a ring, jump rope, speed bag, heavy bag, sparring partners, the works. Can you get that at home? Or even say, the best gym in the entire state of Ohio? No, you need real tools. The best tools. There isn’t an app in the world that provides what we provide.

CHAD: And T.R.U.S.T. will be one of those tools?

JOHN: Now you’re getting it. By keeping risk assessment completely in house, we can fairly judge our customers. On T.R.U.S.T. there will be access to IPOs no one else has. (Some other advantages of it) And with the data we can now collect, thanks to our great government, we can recommend people the best products to enhance their lives. Once you enter the T.R.U.S.T. network, you’re a part of our family.

CHAD: I see. Well, joining us we have Detroit journalist Sara De Santa. Sara is a considered a young prodigy in her field and her most recent piece did a deep dive on corruption within Fed Five subsidiaries throughout Michigan. Sara, thank you so much for joining us.

JOHN: Oh for the love of—

SARA DE SANTA: Thanks for having me.

CHAD: Now Sara, I read your piece. There is everything here from terrible work practices, fraud, embezzlement and while all of it is impressive, I have one question. No one in your field seems to tackle these issues as hard as you do. Care to shed more light on that?

SARA: Sure. It’s really just a willful ignorance, Chad. You and your millions of viewers just heard Mr. Henny’s latest ploy at trying to convince us that the banks have our best interest at heart.

CHAD: What do you mean?

SARA: T.R.U.S.T. is nothing more than them attempting to control us. There’s not a single company, like Mr. Henny said that can compete with them. Not only is that not healthy, but it gives Fed Five, Fed One, whoever free reign to completely act against any code of ethics. They set the rules and they decide when they have to follow them. And with the government backing this, who’s to say how far they’ll go with these practices.

SARA: Everyone I work with is terrified to speak about the banks. You go outside and interview anyone about their real opinion and you’ll get nothing but people acting as if they’re being held hostage.

CHAD: Come on now. That’s—

SARA: It’s true and you know it. My piece detailed what exactly goes on inside the smallest of branches connected to Fed Five. The mistreatment of workers, the illegal activity, they stem from somewhere. But any soul brave enough to speak up is silenced immediately.

JOHN: Okay, this is absolutely ridiculous. We’ve heard this time and time again. Ms. De Santa, you’re nothing but fake news.

SARA: And you’re nothing but a monopoly pretending to care about real people’s problems.

JOHN: Our financial wellness programs offer---

SARA: Oh shut up, those programs are shit and you know it.

CHAD: I won’t have that type of language—

SARA: Then why am I here? Why am I here if not to tell your viewers that everything these companies are feeding them is nothing but lies. And see, I’m their worst nightmare because I don’t have debt. I pay all my bills like a good girl so in their algorithm’s eyes I’m perfect. T.R.U.S.T. would probably say I need a new rewards card or something.

JOHN: Well, if you do want one I can—

SARA: You see?! This man hates my guts and cant refuse to sell to me. It’s a disease. Rotting America and the world from the inside out.

CHAD: Now see, that’s where you seem a bit off base, Ms. De Santa. Sure, the world isn’t perfect. But look around. Unemployment is low, housing is the best it’s ever been, and our national debt was recently erased. America is the freest it’s ever been.

SARA: Yeah well, people are disappearing.

CHAD: What’s that?

SARA: You heard me.

SARA: Ask yourself why it is you don’t know too many people currently in debt. Why don’t you hear about their stories? Why the banks don’t make an effort to help people out of debt?

CHAD: What are you insinuating, Ms. De Santa.

SARA: They’re killing peo----

CHAD: We’ve seen to have lost Ms. De Santa. And while I admire her passion and her energy she brings, her perspective even, I can’t let someone come on my show and make these type of accusations.

CHAD: John, the banks haven’t led us astray yet. Our country is the greatest in the world because of you all’s work during The Great Depression. Let me apologize for the abuse you suffered here tonight. This is a place for constructive dialogue.

JOHN: Facts over feelings. I get it. It’s quite alright. Thanks for having me.

CHAD: I’m Chad Rolf. We’ll be right back.

Five years later and we’re to the present of our story in N$F.

T.R.U.S.T. has been a complete success and now LONNIE has come into the picture as well. But Sara isn’t the only one who wants to stop the banks. There are people watching, waiting. And they want the banks to pay for what they have done.

Once again, N$F #1 launches on Kickstarter on November 16…
