EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: Regarding the Matter of Oswald's Body #5
By Zack Quaintance — Regarding the Matter of Oswald’s Body has, to me, been one of the more interesting books in monthly comics dating all the way back to when it was first announced. It is, essentially, a crime thriller, a heist story with a fantastic (and often funny) ensemble cast, which is all enough to make for an entertaining story on its own merits. This book, as the title so clearly implies, is also set against a backdrop of a historical event that has for decades given rise to conspiracy theories. What it all adds up to is a great comic (for more, read Clyde Hall’s fantastic review of Regarding the Matter of Oswald’s Body #4!).
And today we are honored to have an exclusive preview of the fifth and final issue of the book, Regarding the Matter of Oswald’s Body #5, which is slated to hit comic shops everywhere on March 16. We have the first five finished interior pages, along with the main and variant covers for the book. As you’re about to see, the story takes us to Terlingua, Texas, en route to heading over the Rio Grande and into Mexico. As you’ll see in a second, the cast is also heavily armed and preparing to make a climactic stand. Like all of this book so far, it’s all very intriguing, brought to life by writer Christopher Cantwell, artist Luca Casalanguida and the rest of the book’s fantastic team.
You can check out our full exclusive preview of Regarding the Matter of Oswald’s Body #5 — due out March 16 — below, following the jump with the complete preview information and credits for the final issue of this book. In addition to the interior pages, there is also a variant cover by E.M. Gist, who is quickly becoming a favorite cover artist of mine. Enjoy!
