Brokenland No. 2 - SMALL PRESS PREVIEW

By Zack Quaintance — We’re back today with a new small press preview (after some time off from the feature), and I’m absolutely thrilled that it is Drew Morrison’s Brokenland No. 2, a comic that tackles introspective environmental comedy with a style of artwork that is among the most striking I’ve seen on Kickstarter in some time.

Morrison’s artwork combines its borderline anthropomorphic hero with detailed and interesting environmental artwork, visuals that seem likely to go in any given direction at any given time. The way Morrison tells stories with his hero Meeso is quite interesting as well, relying entirely on visual storytelling to convey his interesting and often funny adventures. Simply put, this is the type of high creativity comic that makes one absolutely delighted that Kickstarter comics exist.

You can find more info about the book, as well as your opportunity to back it, at the link below…enjoy!

Brokenland No. 2

Brokenland No. 2
Writer/Artist/Colorist:
Drew Morrison
Designer: Jane Song
A filthy secret. A day at the beach. A lost art passed down. Brokenland No. 2 picks up where the first issue left off, with Meeso in a bind at the far end of the garbage dump. Here Meeso will learn even more about what they’re meant to do and what they’re meant to be. Brokenland stories are ‘silent’ and can be read regardless of your linguistic background.
